The Red Line = Resiliency

The red line on the hockey rink parallels the mental and emotional qualities needed for resilience in life, especially after a SCI. In hockey, this line represents a physical barrier players must navigate or overcome. After SCI, individuals also face various challenges, obstacles, and setbacks that act as barriers to their goals and aspirations. Our center focuses on research and development of technologies that boost resiliency. Resiliency through technology can support recovery by helping one to overcome their challenges, adapting to adversity, and persevering in the face of setbacks.
